The CY series from ATA ARMS is known for its balanced construction, fully blued barrel and receiver, complemented by a glossy finish on the Turkish walnut stock and forend. The CY FONEX III model is aimed at hunters who want an ultra-light semi-auto shotgun with a classic look and modern gas system, suitable even for shooters of smaller stature thanks to its ergonomics and handling.

CY FONEX III uses a gas system that diverts part of the propellant gases to cycle the action. This provides softer recoil and faster sight recovery during dynamic shooting. The barrel features a ventilated rib and a fiber-optic front sight for fast target acquisition at sunrise, sunset and in thick cover. The bore is chrome-lined for increased durability and easier cleaning, while the exterior of the barrel and receiver is blued for reliable protection against corrosion. The shotgun is supplied with five interchangeable chokes – F, IM, M, IC, SK, allowing you to tune patterns for different game species and ranges.

Practical tips

For an all-round hunting setup, start with 28–32 g loads to achieve a good balance between recoil and pattern density.
For longer shots and bigger game, switch to heavier 12/76 hunting loads, always within the shotgun’s specifications.
Use more open chokes (IC, SK) for close-range shooting and tighter chokes (M, IM, F) when you need more range and concentration.
